What is Presto?
Presto is an accelerated 2-year program that builds complete musicianship. In Presto, your child will be taught proper piano technique, vocal training, ear training, sight reading and sight singing using solfege, music history, music appreciation, advanced music theory, composition, improvisation, transposition, advanced rhythm study and so much more! And we do it in a fun, snappy style that the "tween" age loves!
Group Setting: Research shows that children learn best when they are in a small group setting, where they are active, playing and discovering. Presto is taught in a semi-private/small group setting of 3-4 students. Which allows the teacher to fine tune the child's technique and spend individual time with each student, while also reaping the benefits of group classes.
OVERVIEW
- Class Size: 3-4 students
- Ages 7-12
- Classes begin in early September, with Fall and Spring Breaks and a 2-3 week break in between semesters.
- Recitals culminate the end of the year
- Registration begins NOW and will continue until classes fill. Late registrants are not guaranteed to receive class materials on the first day of class.
- 2024-25 Class times: Tuesdays 5 pm , Wednesdays 4:15 pm
